Greek standard of living, vested benefits, we outsiders pay for

Why did no one dare to ask Heinäluoma (a social democratic politician) at the morning tv interview why the Greek people will keep on going in vested benefits, low retirement age, long vacations, etc and we others cover the costs? The advantage of this democracy is somehow a sacred thing, no matter how silly, inappropriate at the time and inhibitory of development  it is. In Finland we have quite the same problem. If the trends are changing, people get keep on going and to be paid by outsiders. Individual priviledges inside the borders or state problems by state members  - as in Europe.

Somehow shocking to see Greek on the street with banners with the text: "We do not owe anyone, we do not pay anything, we do not sell anything!"
OTHERS must pay, in order to maintain THEIR standard of living!

The standard of living, how does it work.  I am thinking of one Finnish farmer's wife, who designed a new overcoat for buying, but went to ten years before she was able to make her dream come true, because every year there rose many other needs for coat money: to renew broken machines, to repair animal shelters, etc. things which were necessary to stabilize the economy.
A Finnish  -European - farmer does not have any share in the standard of living.

Life is not stable, permanent. Sometimes a development may be a setback, then some flexibility is needed to give up, even nice chores. Once again a balance is achieved, the benefits are fixed again.
Lifestyle has to change to keep pace with the evolution. Although a socialist attempts to idealize a human behavior, the markets are always decisive. That's how also the whole Nature works. Sometimes there is water, sometimes not, the savings and growth are depending about it. Light, water, the amount of heat and the regulation of prerequisites (life style) is a market economy of the Nature.

Democracy is a control to keep the balance with greediness and weakness! Control is the only necessary,  permanent  and posed model, as well. Wich rules is the markets, in any case.
